State Broadband Data and Development Program

Funds to Nebraska: $2,621,006*

ARRA funds are available to states that wish to participate in a program to develop and maintain a national map of broadband availability and accessibility. Recipients will collect comprehensive and verifiable broadband data that meet standards established by the National Telecommunications Information Administration (NTIA).

Requirements

Timeline: Nebraska was awarded a grant on January 1, 2010. Funds must be expended by December 31, 2014.
Restrictions: None.
Recipient's matching funds requirement: 20%, which may include other state support in lieu of funds.
Recipient's administrative allowance: Indirect costs allowed pursuant to applicable federal regulation.
Other characteristics: $500,000 is specifically designated for planning.
